Competitive Fencing Program

Competitive fencers practice to prepare themselves for local, regional and national competitions. Fencers train with electrical equipment with other competitive fencers of  similar levels. They receive individual lessons from the coaches. Fencers learn specific fencing techniques and tactical components of the sport. They have the opportunity to train and compete in more than one specialty. Their level of expertise vary depending on their years of experience, commitment, and exposure to higher levels of competitions. Fencers should participate in local events prior to be invite to be part of the Competitive Program. Competitive fencers are encouraged to be rated referees in one or more weapons. Competitive Fencers meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 pm or from 6:00-8:00 pm. Fencers can attend as many as 3 days per week.
