"New to Fencing" Competition is going to wrap up all Camps. Schedule Saturday, June 24th at 9:00 am

Who:

The camp is open to youth fencers and for kids who want to experience the fun of sword fighting.

Age group is from 7 to 13 years old.

Daily Program:

1:00 pm to 1:45 pm Fun games to develop eye-hand coordination, propioception, speed, balance and stability

1:45 pm to 2:00 pm Break

2:00 pm to 2:45 pm Integration of basic fencing  footwork and hand coordination games and activities

2:45 pm to 3:00 pm Break

3:00 pm to 4:00 pm Basic principles of fencing drills with a real application into match situation with peers;  particular attention to individual needs and application with other fencers to reinforce learning process

Coaching Staff:

Margaret De Long, license Athletic Trainer and Master in Education earned her Fencing Master certification in Chile. For many years, she has guided college and youth fencers of different levels in the three specialties to exceed in the sport. She was part of the Chilean National Team and participated in South American and Pan-American games. Click here for more information

Registration:

The fee for New to Fencing Camp is $150. Your application and $50 non-refundable deposit are due a week prior to camp. The balance of $100 may be paid at your arrival to the camp. Late registration will be accepted, along with $25 late fee, if space is available.
